DELIVERY

We use Royal Mail for all our deliveries, and parcels are sent fully tracked and signed for.

Standard delivery within the UK is on us, and takes usually takes 2-3 working days (Mon-Sat). If you’ve got a thing this weekend and nothing to wear, you can pay £4 for next day delivery.

International delivery is £15 (plus your country’s import duties), and takes 5-7 working days.

We know you want your outfit yesterday, so when you place an order, we’re on it. All parcels are sent first thing in the morning, Mon-Sat.

Standard delivery in the UK usually takes 2-3 days (including Saturdays but excluding Bank Holidays), and next day means the day after postage.

For our international Shorties*, delivery takes 5-7 working days – possibly a bit sooner for neighbouring countries in Europe.

Your parcel is fully tracked, and you’ll need to be in to sign for it. We’ll send you an email once your parcel leaves us, with a tracking number you can use instead of pestering the postman.

*Are we really trying to make this happen?

Standard delivery is on us (mostly because we hate delivery fees, too), but if it’s a fashion emergency, you can upgrade to next day delivery for £4.

International delivery is a flat fee of £15, sent Tracked and Signed, because we all have better things to worry about, like whether we ought to put our bras in laundry bags before sticking them in the washing machine.

We’ll send you a tracking number once we post your parcel. You can enter it and continually refresh the page for updates here: www.royalmail.com/track-your-item.

If you have any problems with tracking, or you’ve been camped out on your doorstep for 3 days and there’s still no sign, email girltalk@shoptheshortlist.co.uk. We’ll get it fixed for you.

We want to make sure you get your order safely, so all our parcels are sent Tracked and Signed For. It’s peace of mind for all of us, so we can worry about whether we should get a fringe instead (pros: Alexa Chung, cons: our Year 8 school photo).

RETURNS

Events get cancelled, minds can be changed, and green isn’t everyone’s colour, so we understand if you need to return something.

If you’d like a full refund, please just make sure your pieces are:

  • Returned to us within 14 days of you receiving it
  • Unworn, unwashed, and in re-sale condition (no marks, stains, or smells – not even your special occasion Tom Ford)
  • In the original packaging
  • Complete with all tags attached and untampered with

To arrange a return, email us at girltalk@shoptheshortlist.co.uk.

We’ll let you know where to send your item, and ask you a bit more about it. There’s no pressure to share, but hearing what wasn’t right helps us do things better next time.

We deal with returns as soon as we receive them, and we’ll email you when we’ve got yours sorted.

The refund will go back to the card you used. Bank processing times vary, so expect the money in your account within 10 days of our email – hopefully sooner.

If for any reason the refund isn’t showing up, first contact your credit card company, followed by your bank, to check whether there’s a delay. If you’ve done all that and you still haven’t received it, get in touch with us and we’ll do some sleuthing (we knew all that time spent online-stalking our ex would come in useful one day).

Not at the moment. Since we’re small, we had to choose between free deliveries and free returns – hope you understand.

If you’re returning something, it’s best to choose a tracked service to make sure it arrives safely (anything for an easy life, we think).
